Frying chicken with its own oil

Place the chicken  pieces(skin side up) in a frying pan, half covered with water,  bring to the boil,  on a medium-heat, add salt , cover the pan then simmer for 20 minutes.








pour the broth in  a glass container for future use, let some broth in a frying pan.




Add some pepper, thyme and oregano(optional).  When the broth turns into oil,  add more oil by spooning the oil on  top of the set aside glass container(broth) .   Fry the chicken with its own oil 5 minutes each side


Cook the boulgour(its like cooking rice) in a pan  add some vegetables like brocolli and carrots on top when the boulgour is almost tender or 'al dente'.








and voila!  our dinner :)

Quick-Broil Salmon...cooking without oil

Heat a stainless steel pan with metal handle(no plastic!) ...add salmon with pepper and salt as toppings...  
Place under the broiler(oven), cook for  few minutes depending on the thickness of the salmon(3-5 minutes)...
                                         and voila!!!

Elle est toujours dans mon coeur.


Je suis venu vous parler de......


Bonjour....

Moi, il y a une personne à qui j'aimerais rendre hommage.

C'est une personne qui à illuminé mon enfance.

C'est ma mère qui s'appelait Norma.

C'etait une femme très généreuse, tendre, amicale, patiente qui avait  de l'humour et qui adorait les enfants.

Elle est morte il y a dix ans. Elle me manque beaucoup.

Pour moi, elle était une mère parfaite pour nous, une sainte pour quelqu'un  qui avait besoin d'aide et une femme parfaite pour mon père.

J'ai trouvé une pure forme d'amour.

Je ne l'oublierais pas.

Elle est toujours dans mon coeur.

Je remercie Dieu pour nous l'avoir donné.

Tuna Avocado Salad



Sautee(3 minutes only) without oil the following: shallots, carrots, green or red capsicum. Let the mixture cool down then add avocado, cherry tomatoes, tuna(preferably in a glass jar... note: I used fresh tuna cooked  then flaked),  chives(optional), olive oil,   apple cider vinegar, salt and pepper.

Banana Bread


                              

                                       

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup banana, mashed
  • 3/4  cup sugar
  • 2  fresh  eggs
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp  salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence or 1 sachet  vanilla powder/sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda or baking powder
  •  2 tbsp. fresh milk
  1. Combine/Mix  all the dry ingredients:  flour, sugar, salt, and baking soda or baking powder.
  2. Add the other ingredients (eggs, mashed bananas, melted butter, vanilla essence, fresh milk) then mix well with the dry ingredients until a batter is formed.
  3. Grease the loaf pan or muffin pan and pour-in the batter.
  4. Preheat oven at 180 degrees celsius then bake the batter for 45 minutes (180 degrees for the first 15 minutes and 160 degrees for the next 30 minutes).
