Saba Banana Tart from farm in the Philippines to our table in France

Saba is a variety of banana commonly found in the Philippines..grateful  I have friends who gave me bunches of Saba.  Back in France  I used these Saba in making tart, turon( a Philippine snack) and added some into my recipes like Chicken Couscous.

My first time to try Banana Tart  and same ingrediendts I used in making Normandie Apple Tart https://fredovic.blogspot.com/2023/05/tarte-normande-revisited-with-few.html and  it's delicous too!

after few days in France..

and I made baked  turon and not fried...less oil and less sugar.

Roasted Chicken with Bulgur(an alternative to rice)

Seared Scallops with Butter/Ghee..simple but delicious!

Prep the scallops ...

Heat the pan...add butter/ghee..

e

Add the scallops. Then cook about 3 minutes on one side then gently turn with spatula to sear the second side for 3 minutes .

add parsley .fresh is better  (I use frozen parsley if fresh is not available from our garden..winter here)

then place the seared  scallops to a platter, sprinkle with  fleur de sel/salt and pepper et voila! served with rice...a quick lunch or dinner
